KOZOR NOVEMBER UPDATE

Since we were kids, Korey and I dreamt of making comics. Now here we are - two brothers working on our first title together.

That's what makes KOZOR special to us. It marks the beginning of our journey into comics.

We've talked up the book a lot, and we've put a positive spin on our set backs. When we hit those hard, long days, and the finish line seems so far away - believing in our book is what keeps us going.

But the truth is, we've made plenty of mistakes along the way. Lost pages, delays, missteps that shouldn't have happened. You name it. This ride has been anything but smooth.

We're sorry for the long wait those oversights resulted in. Thank you for sticking with us!

In the end we're just two bros, who want to make cool comics. And we hope that when all is said and done, KOZOR will speak for itself.

Here's where we're at with the book.

Based on our latest count, I've got 8 pages left in the book to remaster. 2 of those pages need complete redraws - while the others require minor touch ups. Here's some samples from the recent batch.

Korey is taking care of the second half of KOZOR which is predominantly coloring work, since most of the line art is top notch already. Here's some pages he's just wrapped up.

Completed pages are being finalized and made ready for print. This includes calibrating the colors, and ensuring the palette's are consistent from one scene to the next.

We've had quite a journey nailing the right color scheme for KOZOR. Initially the colors started out over saturated, super high contrast and somewhat blown out. Then we went for a more desaturated mono-tone look which simply made the pages look too flat.

The major problems were brightness and contrast. KOZOR's pages were just looking too dark and we knew this would be a problem for print.

So we've made it a major focus of ours, to ensure the levels are balanced correctly, that the key points of focus stand out from one panel to the next and that the line art doesn't get lost or muddied by the darker values of color.

Here's an example of some of the finalized pages.

Korey has completed coloring the KOZOR trading cards, with superb line art by Caanan White. Here are two of our favorites.

We are aiming to complete the line art and colors on KOZOR by the end of December. After that we will send the book off to Eric Weathers for lettering, and get things ready on our end for fulfillment.

Over the next few weeks I'll be getting things in place for that, as we send off the KOZOR trading cards and posters to print, and order in the packaging supplies.

Thanks for sticking with us while we get KOZOR done. Your support means everything to us, and we appreciate your patience.

We'll keep you in the loop on everything that's happening with KOZOR in the coming weeks.
